The Government Relations and Public Affairs Department is your liaison between the Medical Association and the Legislative and Executive branches of state and federal government to express medicine’s point of view on proposed legislation and regulations. The department assumes direct responsibility for maintaining contact with the Alabama Congressional Delegation, and works in concert with the American Medical Association’s Washington office to monitor national political developments.
